We’ve passed through a lot of cities you’ve probably never heard of at this point. Some were diamonds in the rough, others were just rough to pass through. Here’s our ranking of the cities we’ve passed through from most favorite to least.
- Salida, CO - Awesome singletrack, hostel and food.
- Fernie, BC - Unexpected trendy outdoorsy town.
- Breckenridge, CO
- Whitefish, MT
- Helena, MT
- Silverthorne/Dillon, CO - Had a great place to stay.
- Steamboat Springs, CO
- Bigfork, MT
- Elkhorn Hot Springs, MT
- Sargents, CO - Teepees!
- Seeley Lake, MT - While the steak was good, it was almost too much to handle. Points deducted for the horrendous karaoke.
- Atlantic City, WY - The Atlantic City Mercantile rocked.

- Abiquiu, NM
- Elkford, BC - With the Trans-Rockies race in town Elkford was alive with activity.
- Eureka, MT - Jax’s Cafe was amazing and the city park was a great place to sleep.
- Platoro, CO
- Lincoln, MT
- Ovando, MT - Trixie’s bar, ’nuff said.
- Sparwood, BC - Who can forget the Terex Titan?
- Columbia Falls, MT
- Clark, CO

- Elko, BC - The town had two building, thankfully one of them was the Dairy Bar, and the other contained a mythical drink known as Beaver Buzz.
- Wise River, MT
- Horca, CO
- El Rito, NM
- Grasmere, BC - The Screamers were a life-saver, but this single-building “town” had nothing else to offer.
- Butte, MT
- Cuba, NM - McDonalds is its saving grace.
- Radium, CO
- Del Norte, CO
- Ferndale, MT - Just your average grocery store.
- Como, CO
- Hartsel, CO - The guidebook recommended we stay here, but there’s no place to stay.
- Summitville, CO - It’s a Superfund site, but at least there wasn’t a town.
- Vallecitos, NM - Even the dogs wanted to leave.
